For nearly two decades, Kevin Goldstein has provided strategic advice on regulatory and public policy issues to companies and organizations operating in the rapidly-evolving Canadian communications sector.  

​

Prior to establishing Goldstein Communications Law, he was Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, Content and Distribution, for BCE Inc., the parent company of Bell Canada, Canada's largest communications company.  In this role, Kevin oversaw all regulatory issues for local, specialty and pay television, radio, digital and on-demand content, as well as for cable, satellite and IPTV.  Before joining Bell in 2011, Kevin held the positions of Vice President, Regulatory Affairs at CTVglobemedia, and Director, Regulatory Affairs,

Radio & Television for CHUM Limited.

Kevin's practice is focused on advising clients with respect to all aspects of Canadian broadcasting regulatory law.​  He regularly interacts with and appears before the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, as well as Government departments such as the Department of Canadian Heritage. 

​

Over the last several years, Kevin has been involved in numerous major files before the CRTC, including BCE’s acquisition of Astral Media, and the sales of CTV to BCE and CHUM to CTVglobemedia. He has also worked on a series of important CRTC policy proceedings, including multiple major licence renewal proceedings and policy reviews of the overall regulatory frameworks for Television, Distribution and Radio.

Kevin was a Director of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters from 2007 to 2017 and was Chair of the Association in 2014 and 2015.  In 2013, he was named one of Canada’s

leading lawyers under 40 by Lexpert Magazine

​

He holds a BA (1995) and Law Degree (1998) from the University of Manitoba.
